It has found my wireless internet and says active but its like its not receiving any information at all any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

I recently installed yellow dog on my ps3. When I tried to use the mozilla firefox web browser, it said that the page could not be found. Where is the problem?By the way, at the beginning when yellow dog is loading, I believe it says failed next to IP adress etho or something like that. How can I correct it?
