If you are a lucky owner of a Ps3 like me, you have probably often wondered how you can burn ps3 games so that you can safely tuck away your original copies so they don’t get damaged. You see as fantastic as the ps3 console is it seems that the way they deliver the games to console owners hasn’t kept up with technology. Sure the amount of data that these disks can hold has increased 10 fold but one thing that has remained constant over the last few years is the DVD, CD or Blu Ray format. They are all disk based formats and they are prone to easily scratching which means that when you purchase a game in excess of $100 that it only takes a single scratch to render that game useless. A sobering thought indeed.

Once this task has been completed, get your backup disk and place it in your burner, load the special burner software and then click go. It’s as easy with that.

I’d imagine like a lot of other Ps3 console owners you’ve been trying to figure out how to backup Ps3 games. Well the process is quite simple really and it doesn’t take too long depending on how you approach it. There are a couple of ways that you can backup Ps3 games. The first way would require you downloading several different software programs in order for you to make successful backups. The downside to this is the fact that you have to download all the different applications and some of them may conflict with your existing setup.

Another way is the easier of the two options. This would require you installing one piece of software and it would basically do the rest. Nice and simple, right? The only catch is that this piece of software does require you to purchase it but it’s a very nominal amount for what you can do with it. Not only can you backup Ps3 games but you can also make backups for Xbox 360, Dreamcast, Wii, Ps2 and Ps1, Xbox and even Nintendo. As you can see it’s a very versatile piece of software.

So when people want to know how to backup Ps3 games I will either tell them the free but very time consuming way consisting of several downloads and installations, or I will tell them the software I currently use to make backups of all my Ps3 games basically at the push of a button.

Now when I backup Ps3 games all I need to do is pop the original game disk into my computer and then launch the software application. From here the software does the rest and it does it easily! Now it does take a while to make the backup but that’s really dependent of the power of your CPU. The faster it is the faster you will have your backup ready to play.
